Most of what’s in stores right now is built to last a couple of years and then get replaced. I design the other way. I find the solid wood dresser someone’s grandmother kept for 60 years, pair it with clean white bedding and good art, and build a room you won’t want to redo every time a trend changes. It’s better for the planet, it’s easier on your budget, and your home won’t look like everyone else’s.
